Overview:
Bosch CPP14 cameras offer configurable features through global licenses that can be enabled or disabled via firmware updates. Some licenses are irreversible and require an RMA process for reversal. Firmware can be downloaded from the Bosch DownloadStore.
Key Features & License Details:
Privacy Mode (Demo)- Minimum Firmware: 9.00.0210
- Allows blurring and pixelization on static privacy masks while maintaining IVA detection.
- Enabled/disabled via Web-GUI (Encoding & Installer menu).
- Activation/Deactivation keys provided.
- Minimum Firmware: 8.50.0138
- Prevents local recording permanently; can only be undone through repair.
- Activation key available.
- Minimum Firmware: 8.50.0138
- Blocks microphone function permanently; requires repair to restore.
- Activation key available.
Applying Global Keys:
- Use Bosch Configuration Manager or Web GUI to apply licenses.
- Authenticate as a "service" user.
- Navigate to Service > Licenses and input the global key in the activation field.
- Click Install, confirm the reboot, and verify the applied license.
Once applied, irreversible licenses (e.g., disabling storage or microphone) cannot be undone without RMA repair.
